A Little About Us
It all began in Resham's kitchen...
The center is named after our mother and grandmother, Resham Devi, who came from very humble beginnings, but was always willing to lend a helping hand. No matter the circumstance, she would feed anyone who walked through the door. Resham cherished the value of community, realizing that food could bring families and friends together. After moving to America, Resham would spend a lot of time with her children and grandchildren, teaching the little ones the meaning of hospitality. She would often prepare roti ("RHO-tee") on a flat griddle (called a tava) with meat, vegetables, and curry. Resham would cook as little or as much as needed until everyone in the room was full.

Resham loved as she lived -- openly and to no end.
